About Península de Osa

The remote paradise of Osa Peninsula is the last frontier of Costa Rica. It is truly one of the last wild places with much of the peninsula protected within the Corcovado National Park, the crown jewel of Costa Rica's national park systems. There are also two forest reserves on the Osa Peninsula where the highest hills support a cloud forest. Unspoiled beaches line the Pacific coast on the west side while on the other is one of only four tropical fiords in the world, the Golfo Dulce. Travelers are captivated with the isolation, beauty and abundance of wildlife which includes 850 species of birds, monkeys, coatis, jaguars, ocelots, sloths, tapirs, agoutis, anteaters, turtles, frogs, crocodiles, iguanas, butterflys and more. The Osa Peninsula is called by the National Geographic "the most biologically intense place on earth". If it is your desire to experience unspoiled nature, to be able to see, enjoy, or photogragh scenery and wildlilfe you will find it all here.
